Here it is, Wek’Fest day, the reason why we’re in San Francisco. For those that don’t know, Wek’Fest SF car show only happens once a year and some call it the super bowl of car shows. A lot of energy surround the Wek’Fest car show, the crowd obliged by cheering, there was free giveaways, and some of the public figure like Bigdaddy Abe even came out to hype up the crowd while they waited in the line for hours. I had the moment to chop it up with JR and he said people were already lining up at 1 am. It was a very cold evening in San Francisco, that was mad dedication there. By 1 in the afternoon the line wrapped around the parking lot all the way to the park.
My day started so early in the morning, I did my best to photograph as many cars as possible before the show started and also get some shots of Julie Mai in her 5D outfit but by the time the show started I had to leave and Julie was just arriving. I didn’t get any photos of her unfortunately, but I’ll find some from other photographers and post that up on the 5&A Dime‘s blog.
If you like to see some additional coverage of my trip to San Francisco you can see it on my blog, Hanuit.
